MIRONA RADU – the soul of the Film O’Clock International Film Festival

Mirona Radu 

Mirona Radu has been working in the film production and distribution industry, including international film festivals for ten years. Since February 2019, she has been the programmer of the Peasant Museum Cinema in Bucharest. Mirona has training and experience in the development of cultural knowledge and intercultural interaction, being the founder and the festival director of Film O’Clock International Festival, a film festival across five countries on two continents. She studied Film Directing, holds a Master’s Degree in Film Production and Creative Management in New Media, and attended professional programmes such as NEXT WAVE, Maia Workshops, CICAE Training and other art residences in Poland, China, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, and Ukraine.
She was Europa Cinemas Label Member of the Jury at the Venice International Film Festival in 2020 and C.I.C.A.E Member of the Jury at the Sarajevo International Film Festival in 2021.
Recently she has become a member of Europa Cinemas Association.

__1.__What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Walking peacefully and with a smile on your face in a garden full of beautiful flowers that smell enchanting, by a lake with crystal clear water, in a late spring, holding hands with the man you love and who loves you, with a faithful dog by your side.

__2.__What is your greatest fear?

Fear of abandonment.

__3.__What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Perfectionism.

Not being honest.

__5.__Which living person do you most admire?

Madeleine Probst, Vice-President of Europa Cinemas, and my mentor – for her professionalism, generosity, and humane and empathetic approach.

__6.__What is your greatest extravagance?

A trip to Mexico.

__7.__What is your current state of mind?

In search of self-love, and inner balance.

__8.__What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

To be silent.

__9.__On what occasion do you lie?

When I make surprises and prolong the good tension.

__10.__What do you most dislike about your appearance?

A large scar on my chest.

There isn’t any such person.

Decisiveness.

Self-care.

__15.__What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My family.

In my childhood, in the summer holiday, after finishing the school year with first prize.

I’d like to inspire people.

I’d like to be more patient.

Being a member of the jury at the Venice Film Festival.

I think it is important to have one life and to understand we only live once.

Moscow.

My education.

Not being able to forgive yourself for your mistakes.

I admire many people for different reasons, but I wouldn’t name them heroes.

To waist the time.

I have no regrets. I am grateful for everything I have received from life, be it good or not so good.
