Directors’ bio:

Iosif Damian is a graduate of the “I.L. Caragiale” Theatre and Film Institute – Department of Cinematography (class of 1968). His work was censored in Romania and he emigrated to Australia in the 80s. Head of department at the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Sydney, where Valeriu Câmpan, Clara Vodă and Bogdan Vodă also teach. Dan Piţa has become one of the most popular Romanian directors of his generation since his first features, many of them adaptations of classical novels.
