A WOMAN AND HER FOUR MEN

A balladic story set in a Baltic fishermen’s settlement at the turn of the 20th century. The film’s heroine keeps losing one husband after another, but there’s always someone from the family to come and take care of her children and her house.
Melancholy flows through its rhythm, echoing the sea, sand, and coastal winds, as life’s cycles of tragedy and renewal unfold. At its heart is the Woman, portrayed with extraordinary depth and grace by actress Jūratė Onaitytė, embodying unwavering love for her family.

The film is based on the novella ‘En Roman i Klitten’ (‘Romance in Dunes’) by the Danish author Holger Drachmann.
