Transilvania International Film Festival 2025 Director’s bio: Vlad Popa studied film directing at UBB, Cluj, and earned a master’s at UNATC, Bucharest. During his studies, he directed several shorts. He is pursuing a PhD and teaches at UBB. His co-directed short film Jackpot (2024) premiered at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2024.
Director’s bio:
Vlad Popa studied film directing at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and obtained a master's degree from the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest. During his studies, he directed several short films. He is currently pursuing a PhD and teaches at Babeș-Bolyai University. His co-directed short film Jackpot (2024) premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2024.
