THE DEER HUNTING

A young man meets his father for the first time in 22 years during a hunting trip. While waiting for the prey, they get to know each other. Everything seems normal, until the son starts to ask some taboo questions about his father’s violent past, trying to find the real reason for his parent’s divorce.

Directors’ bio:

Andrei Olănescu was born in Râmnicu Vâlcea (Romania), on the 22th of January 1996. Andrei graduated Arts High School in 2015 and shifted his focus from studying architecture to film directing. He studied Film & TV Directing at the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale" from 2016 to 2019 (class of Prof. Doru Nitescu) and is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Film Directing at the same university.
